Special Purpose Voucher Programs
In addition to the voucher program, the Housing Authority administers other housing programs, such as the following:

- Continuum of Care -Shelter Plus Care Grants: For homeless/mentally ill families with disabilities. In partnership with Department of Behavioral Health, Grant funded by HUD | Total households served: 345
- Veterans Assistance Supportive Housing: For chronically homeless veterans with disabling conditions. In partnership with U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Total households served: 529
- Housing for Persons with AIDS: For low-income persons medically diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their families. In partnership with Foothill Aids Project, Grant funded by HUD | Total households served: 50
- Mainstream 5 Voucher Program: This program is designed to provide rental assistance to persons with disabilities to enable them to rent suitable adn accessible housing in the private market. Total households served: 100
- Mainstream 811 Voucher Program: This program provides much needed housing assistance to non-elderly adult persons with disabilities, including persons transitioning out of institutional housing, at risk of becoming institutionalized, homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, or persons who previously experienced homelessness and are currently a client in a permanent supportive housing or rapid rehousing site. Total households served: 55
- Mainstream Voucher Program: Competitively awarded vouchers to serve non-elderly, low-income persons with disabilities who are transitioning out of institutional or other segregated settings, homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. Total households served: 155

Pilot Homeless Programs

- No Child Left Unsheltered: Focuses on housing street homeless families with children. Goals are to improve educational and well being of the children and economic advancement of the parent(s). Total households served: 40
- Golden Apartments: Permanent supportive housing through the conversion and rehabilitation of an acquired townhome apartment community. Total households that will be served: 38
- Desert Haven Apartments: Permanent supportive housing through the conversion and rehabilitation of an acquired dilapidated motel. Total households that will be served: 31
