Welcome to the Housing Authority’s Resident and Community Resources! The Housing Authority strives to provide its program participants and residents with more than just housing assistance, but also information on the community and partner resources that exist in our communities.

Child Care

Senior Resources

If you have questions or issues about your retirement, Social Security benefits, or you need to schedule an appointment, you can call the San Bernardino Social Security Office at 1-800-772-1213 or TTY: 1-800-325-0778.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, DAAS is providing “Grab and Go” meals at 32 locations throughout the county and has increased the capacity in its Home Delivered Meals program for older adults who are homebound. DAAS also provides boxes of groceries to older adults and adults with disabilities need of non-perishable food items. For information on DAAS’ nutrition services, please contact Senior Information and Assistance (SIA) at 1-800-510-2020.

DAAS also provides behavioral health services and other related resources to older adults aged 59 and over through the Age Wise program. Age Wise services are available 24/7 and can be accessed by calling 1-800-451-5633.

Family Service Association provides nutritious meals to seniors throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties serving 2,500 seniors a day. To find out about meal services near you, please call (951) 342-3057.

SIA provides information and assistance to help any senior citizen solve problems he or she may have. Clients are provided referrals to other agencies and assistance and advocacy in making contact with organizations and agencies for needed services and programs. Serves as an intermediary to assist individuals in resolving issues related to housing discrimination, homeownership sustainability, rental complaints, and disputes in court through the provision of resource recommendations, education, and mediation.

The County’s central source for providing free and confidential information and referrals for all health and human services, as well as serving as the County’s Coordinated Entry System to assist anyone experiencing homelessness. Dial 2-1-1 for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, they offer information with any situation whether financial, domestic, health, or disaster-related.

A branch of the federal government that oversees, administers and manages a large variety of different housing programs and services.
